Benefits Specialist -80-100K -20+ years of experience required. -Bachelors Degree required. -Must have experience in Human Resources and Benefits Administration. -Solid knowledge of employment laws and benefits compliance, such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA and COBRA administration. -Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). -Demonstrated, exceptional customer service skills. -Experience working with an HRIS. -CEBS or PHR certification. -Fully understand ADA and ADAA compliance related issues and keep decisions surrounding these issues in compliance with legal guidelines. Job Duties: -Serves as subject matter expert for administration and compliance with applicable laws and company policy for benefit programs and HR policies, including but not limited to: health & wellness benefits, 401k, pension, FMLA, short term disability, other company leave policies, annual open enrollment, and additional employee programs. -Establish and maintains effective relationships with benefits vendors and consultants; ensures that the administration of the plans is working effectively. -Assist with coordination of COBRA enrollments with carriers. -Create, send and track FMLA documentation to include monthly benefit amounts due each month. -Provide support to employees regarding benefit-related questions. -Oversee Company billing processing to include timely and accurate processing of monthly medical and dental premiums, including auditing for accuracy. -Recommend benefit plan changes to management; serves as company contact with third party vendors providing benefits to employees; answer questions from employees regarding benefit plans, including claim resolution. -Key contact for all leave of absence issues; act as subject matter expert for all Family Medical Leave (FMLA), Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA) and Personal Leave of Absence (PLOA) requests. -Act as subject matter expert for medical accommodation requests organization-wide.
