The Human Resource Director position will be based in our Austin office. The HR director will lead HR practices and objectives that will enable an employee focused high performance culture. Manage the day to day activities of HR and provide on-site support to employees located in the Austin office. The HR director will partner with local leaders and employees in creating an exciting and stimulating environment. The HR director will work with and be closely aligned with the HR team located in St. Louis. Role and Responsibilities: Develops cooperative and effective working relationships with Austin Leaders and staff. Advises and coaches leaders regarding company policies, procedures and employment laws and assists with decisions which support positive employee relations. Works and supports business leaders regarding organizational structure, employee development, coaching, performance, recruiting efforts, total rewards, etc. Support Talent Acquisition team with recruiting activities, including sourcing and interviewing. Build and Foster key University campus relationships in order to create a pipeline of new recruits. Organize and conduct on-boarding activities for new hires located in Austin. Coordinate and facilitates local training activities and needs which could include leading as well as sourcing training solutions. Provides on-site HR support to employees regarding such items as benefits, employee relations, objective setting, performance management. Work with local leadership regarding any voluntary and involuntary employee separations. Support and drive employee communication strategies in the Austin office. Supports companywide recruiting efforts. Project based assignments as needed to support companywide initiatives. Experience – Qualifications – and Education: Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and 5+years of progressive HR generalist experience that includes demonstrated development of strategic partnerships with senior leaders, knowledge of employment law, pro-active employee relations, leadership development and the ability to be able to identify/attract talent and represent the company to the local community and to candidates. Excellent communication, interpersonal and decision making skills are required. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess process orientation and superior multitasking capabilities and project passion and positive energy.
