Our client is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist for their company near New Hyde Park!! This position will include overall responsibility for Human Resource functions relating to all team members, including employee relations, compensation and benefits administration. Able to development, implementation administration of human resources programs and employment policies. Responsible to personnel record-keeping, workers compensation and team member safety issues. Prepare training, workforce development, and compliance with HR laws and regulations as well as Company policies. Comply with the company contexts of hiring, discipline, employment termination, training, compensation, benefits, leave, equal opportunity and other human resources issues. The ability to be open and available to discuss human resources matters with the entire workforce, benefits program, and address employee safety issues. To supervises the Organizational Development & Training function. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and reports, including responsibility for maintaining personnel records. 2. Organize and work independently on multiple assigned tasks/projects and complete assignments within specified deadlines. 3. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and instructions clearly and concisely. 4. Advice on employment statutes, rules, regulations and policies affecting to team members. 5. Planning and directing activities, explaining and implementing decisions, and resolving significant issues involving team members. 6. Recommend, develop, interpret and clarify personnel procedures and policies. 7. Conduct research regarding employment issues, benefits, workers compensation and personnel procedures and, apply the conclusions to personnel policies and practices. 8. Assist in hiring, including developing job descriptions and job advertisements, and screening and interviewing candidates. 9. Develop, implement and manage a centralized recruiting process. 10. Demonstrate skills in consensus-building and mediation in order to constructively address employee conflicts. 11. Oversee the Organizational Development & Training function and develop employee training programs 12. Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations. Qualifications: 1. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in HR Management preferred but not required 2. Five years of professional experience across all HR disciplines, including employment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training and development, workers compensation and conflict resolution. 3. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification required; Senior Professional In Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred 4. Experience working with a diverse workforce. 5. Being passionate about what you do and ability to deliver unconditional value to the company. 6. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information 7.
